This chunky boat is made from varnished softwood, and is wound by simply turning the rotary paddle in the centre, until the elastic band becomes taut. Place the boat in water and release the mechanism to see it speed away. Based on the simplest of principles but a valuable science lesson to a young child. Extra elastic bands are included.
